February 8, 2022
Cameron Brooks has joined Idaho State University’s College of Science and Engineering as the Senior Director of Development.
Brooks brings over 15 years of fundraising experience into the role. Before joining ISU, he was the Advancement Vice President for Southern Virginia University, where he oversaw the Advancement office. Before his time on the East Coast, he spent 15 years at Southern Utah University in various roles. While in Cedar City, he directed SUU’s planned giving efforts, oversaw the Annual Fund, and led the fundraising team for a new Science building, which secured the school’s largest gifts to that point of $2 million and $3 million.
“This is a wonderful opportunity at Idaho State University, and I am excited to be here,” Brooks said. “I look forward to getting to know the faculty, staff, and alumni and assisting in the development and growth of this wonderful college and institution.”
“Cameron brings a wealth of development experience to his new position in the College of Science and Engineering,” said Dean Scott Snyder. “We are already working together to support students studying in our comprehensive STEM programs as well as the faculty who provide our students with outstanding educational opportunities.”
Brooks has a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and a Master of Arts in International and Area Studies from Brigham Young University.
Cameron and his wife, Kim, have six children. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and playing golf.
