4 Features 4 Moodle 4.0 Part 3

Starting August 10, 2022, Moodle ISU will be upgraded to the new Moodle 4.0. We are doing a four-part series to celebrate this exciting upgrade, featuring four new features in Moodle 4.0. 

Activity Completion

In Moodle ISU 4.0, activity completion is expanded an now includes completion indicators within the course index on the left-hand side of the screen. In addition to current Moodle activity completion features, this will allow students to manage their learning more effectively. 

New Activity and Resources Icons

Activity and resource icons in Moodle ISU 4.0 are updated with a more modern look and feel. When adding an activity or resource, you will see new icons. You will also notice four new categories for the activities or resources: Typically assessed, Not typically assessed, External tool, and Resource.

Grade to Pass Completion for Assignments

In Moodle 4.0, the Grade to Pass Completion is expanded to include assignment activities. 

Timed Assignments

With Moodle ISU 4.0, instructors will have the ability to add timed assignments. Students will see a countdown timer that  indicates the allotted time they have to  complete the assignment.
