Mark Neiwirth to Present Six Regional Concerts During Tour

Pianist Mark Neiwirth, a Steinway Artist and adjunct faculty member at the Idaho State University School of Performing Arts, will present six regional concerts over the next six weeks. Featured on the program will be Thom Ritter George’s “Sonata No. 3,” which was composed expressly for Neiwirth in 1989. He will be recording the sonata later in the year, along with two other sonatas by George, on the Centaur label. Other works on the program include standard piano works by Beethoven, Debussy and Liszt.
Recitals will be on October 7 at Tor House Museum in Carmel, CA; October 9 at Church in the Forest in Pebble Beach, CA; October 21 at Barrus Concert Hall at BYU-Idaho; October 30 at the Morrison Center Recital Hall at Boise State University; November 4 at the Fine Arts Auditorium at College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls; and November 12 at Hanson Recital Hall at Montana State University in Bozeman, MT.
