Jay Broda Joins Academic Advising Team
September 15, 2022
The Office of Academic Advising welcomes Jay Broda as an Academic Advisor with the College of Science and Engineering.
Broda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences with an emphasis in field biology from the University of Northern Colorado and has spent the majority of the last 20 years working as a teacher and adjunct professor in northeastern Colorado and the Denver/Metro area.
He stepped into his new position Aug. 29. As a devoted fan of all things “scientific and nerdy,” Broda has fashioned his career around his desire to combine the three things that bring him the greatest joy: the sciences, the outdoors, and helping students to achieve their dreams and to craft the futures to which they aspire.
Outside of work, Broda can often be found seeking out new places to visit and explore and enjoying the myriad of options that time outdoors affords him. Broda is also an avid board/card game enthusiast and hockey fan and is looking forward to cheering on the Idaho Falls Spud Kings during their inaugural year.
