Faculty Focus Group Announcement
October 11, 2022
The Institute of Rural Health recently received the Idaho College/University Early Intervention and Suicide Prevention Strategies Grant from the Idaho State Department of Education (PI Dr. Erika Coles). The purpose of the grant is to facilitate the integration of suicide prevention strategies among campus offices and programs and increase access to campus suicide prevention services for students at ISU.
We are conducting multiple focus groups with stakeholders across campus to gather information on barriers and facilitators to behavioral health services and suicide prevention programming for students at ISU. We are reaching out today to invite you to participate in our first focus group with ISU faculty. It is vitally important to the health of our students to gain insight from faculty in their roles as teachers, advisors, and mentors regarding the challenges that our students encounter in accessing information and services on campus.
The faculty focus group will be held on October 28 at noon. If you are interested in participating or have questions, please reach out to Erika Coles. The commitment for participation is only a one-time meeting for approximately 1 hour. Snacks and beverages will be served!
