Dental Hygiene Graduate Student Wins First Place in International Conference

Amy DeStaffany, a student in the Master of Science in Dental Hygiene program, recently won first place at the International Symposium on Dental Hygiene in the poster competition in Dublin, Ireland.
Her thesis work was titled: "Investigating Periodontal Diagnosis and Treatment at One Dental Institution." DeStaffany's was one of 29 posters out of 227 research poster presentations that were selected for the judges presentation at this international conference. She not only represented ISU but the United States as well in this competition.
JoAnn Gurenlian and Leciel Bono, former and current directors for the MSDH program were her thesis committee.
