Positive Body Symposium to feature keynote speaker Amy Pence Brown March 9

The fifth annual Positive Body Symposium at Idaho State University is March 9 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and features a keynote presentation by Amy Pence Brown, a body image activist.
Sponsored by the ISU Gender Resource Center, the symposium is free and open to the public. Registration is required.
The event features renowned researchers and lectures with expertise in different types of body-image related topics. Sessions will offer continuing education credits with certificates at a cost of $25 for the day or $10 per session. :
Brown, the keynote speaker, recently became internationally known for her radical stand for self-love at the Capital City Public Market in Boise. Her message about the value of all bodies, no matter their size, has been covered by media outlets, including CNN, USA Today, TODAY, Cosmopolitan, People, Huffington Post and TIME and Fitness.

10 a.m. – “Emotions and Body Image: How to Better Feel,” Allison Willets, LPC, NCC
11 a.m. – “Intuitive Eating 101,” Danielle Basye, RDN, LD, RYT
1 p.m. – Keynote address, Amy Pence Brown
