Policies with proposed changes are sent out periodically in ISU Today for faculty and staff comment. Current policies out for 30-day review can be found at the policy website. To submit feedback you may email policies@isu.edu or submit anonymously on the policy website. 

Approved Policy Revisions:

• 4050 Academic Rank and Other Appointments

Following a robust policy revision process, the Academic Rank and Other Appointments policy has been given final approval and signed by the President.  Major changes centered around the adjustment of faculty rank classifications and requirements, to more accurately reflect the University’s actual faculty rank practices. The previous policy version did not accurately depict the wide scope of rankings actually in use across University departments and colleges. The requirements for rank attainment outlined in the policy are considered minimum requirements and can be made more rigorous to align with specific department and college needs.
