Summer Hours Begin May 11
May 7, 2020
During this time of remote work situations and a gradual return to on-campus operations, Idaho State University will continue the longstanding tradition of summer hours for employees. To support employees in fully enjoying the summer season, the University’s administrative office hours will shift to Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch break, beginning on Monday, May 11. Summer hours apply to telework and on-campus working arrangements. Standard office hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break, will resume on Monday, August 10, 2020.
Please note that summer hours do not supersede the Roaring Back: University Rebound Plan, and all employees should continue to follow their assigned staged approach for returning to campus, based on discussions with their teams, supervisors, and leadership. Managers are encouraged to use flexibility and creativity in determining the best schedule for their operations. Management at all campus locations should consult with their respective vice presidents, where needed, if alternate schedules might be better suited for meeting the needs of students or their specific operational needs.
As a reminder, Idaho State University will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 25, and Independence Day will be observed on Friday, July 3. For more information on the remaining state holidays, please see the 2020 Holiday Schedule. All questions regarding summer hours should be directed to Human Resources by calling (208) 282-2517.
