Strategic Planning - Paused Until Fall 2021

Given the COVID-19 situation, the Administrative Council has decided to pause strategic planning for one year with the intent that ISU focus institutional resources on navigating the pandemic while still delivering high-quality education to our students. An additional year will also allow us to understand the impacts of the pandemic on student behavior to ensure the new strategic plan is best positioned to help guidance ISU forward. Strategic planning will commence again in Fall 2021. 

To ensure the University is still moving forward in service of our students, the Administrative Council underwent a strategic review of all project charters to assess current bandwidth limitations and continued alignment with institutional needs, certain project charters were paused or re-prioritized. In addition, new project charters were commissioned in alignment with the following areas of institutional focus: 1. recruitment and retention 2. building relationships 3. promoting identity and culture 4. efficiency and effectiveness.
