Presentation GlobalFoundries Semiconductor Overview by John Kent Set March 9

John P. Kent – Vice President of Foundry IP Design, Idaho State University Foundation Board of Directors member and Senior member of IEEE – will deliver the presentation GlobalFoundries Overview at 4 p.m. March 9 in the ISU Physical Science Complex, Room 108.
GlobalFoundries is a major privately held semiconductor corporation headquartered in New York with high capacity semiconductor fabrication and design facilities located in multiple worldwide locations.
His presentation will include:
- An overview of GlobalFoundries.
- GlobalFoundries participation in the semiconductor industry, focusing on FinFET and FDSOI technology applications and a galaxy of emerging applications utilizing these technologies.
- A briefing on Design Enablement and the process follow from circuit/logic diagram to fully finished semiconductor devices.
- University-Industry partnerships at GlobalFoundries.
