Office for Research announces application period is open for Internal Small Grant Program

October 16, 2020

The Office for Research is pleased to announce two internal Grant opportunities during this academic year: the Internal Small Grant Program for fall semester and the Seed Grant Program for spring semester.  Applications for the Internal Small Grant Program may be submitted now.

The purpose of the Internal Small Grant Program is to expand the capacity for research and creative activity at ISU.  Funding is made available by the Office for Research and comes from facilities and administrative costs resulting from external grant and contract funding. The Office for Research relies on the ISU Research Council to make recommendations to the vice president for research in as fair and as transparent a way as possible, that supports all areas, types, and disciplines of research and creative activity by all full-time ISU faculty. For more information, please visit the Internal Small Grant Program website.

"The Office for Research is pleased to support the Internal Small Grants Program," said Donna L. Lybecker, acting vice president for research. "We believe these funds can help foster and maintain research and creative endeavors, which benefit not only faculty but also students, the university, and our communities. In particular, we hope these funds provide a way to expand the capacity of research and creative endeavors at ISU both through the pursuit of new work and engagement from a greater number of our faculty."

The application period for the Seed Grant Program will open during the spring semester.
