ISU to Hand Out Face Masks to Students Aug. 17-28
August 13, 2020
From Aug. 17 to 28, Idaho State University will distribute a limited number of Bengal face masks to students at six places on its Pocatello campus and at its Idaho Falls, Meridian and Twin Falls locations, as part of the University’s overall efforts to operate safely this fall.
Face coverings are required in all ISU campus buildings, classrooms, offices and outside spaces when with other people. Students may wear their Bengal face covering, or are welcome to use their own personal face covering.
On the Pocatello campus, the mask distribution locations are at the Campus Connection in the Pond Student Union from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday; College of Technology student services at the Roy F. Christensen Building from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday; College of Technology students services at the Eames Complex from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday; Oboler Library from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; Outside Pond Student Union, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday and Parking Services/Public Safety from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Masks will be given at 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday at the ISU-Meridian front desk, the Idaho Falls information desk and in Twin Falls at the Higher Education Center CSI Hepworth building.
To receive a mask, students will need to present their Bengal ID. If students do not have a Bengal ID, they may obtain one at the Pocatello Campus Connection desk, Idaho Falls Information Desk or Meridian Front Desk. The Bengal ID will be swiped to verify that the person is a student and that they haven’t already received a mask. If the card reader accepts the transaction, the student may choose the color of mask they prefer depending on availability.
Students who are medically unable to wear a face covering should contact Disability Support Services at (208) 282-3599 or at disabilityservices@isu.edu.
