ISU Education Appreciation Week meets fundraising goal
October 26, 2020
Idaho State University College of Education’s annual Education Appreciation Week concluded on Oct. 5, reaching its goal of raising $3,000 for student scholarships. This digital scholarship campaign sponsored by ISU Credit Union allows for individuals to thank, appreciate, and share a memory of their favorite teachers. This year, over 150 unique teachers were recognized through submissions to the College of Education and on social media, and the campaign reached over 13,000 individuals on various social media platforms throughout the week.
ISU Credit Union delivered the scholarship to the College of Education Dean, Dr. Jean McGivney-Burelle, and Outreach and Marketing Coordinator Amy Dressel on Oct. 20. Students qualified to receive the Education Appreciation Week Scholarship have until Nov. 1 to apply in BOSS.
“Each year, the Education Appreciation Week campaign serves as a reminder of the positive impact teachers have on our lives. We want to thank ISU Credit Union for sponsoring this campaign for the second consecutive year and for the many ways in which they support our local educators and the next generation of teachers. We also want to extend our gratitude to everyone who took the time to recognize and celebrate the work of teachers,” said Dean McGivney-Burelle.
Thank you to everyone who participated and supported the Education Appreciation Week 2020 campaign. For questions about the digital media scholarship campaign please contact Amy Dressel, dresamy@isu.edu at (208) 282-4434.
