Art professor Leekyung Kang featured in Las Vegas exhibition

Mixed-media work by art professor Leekyung Kang will display at the West Las Vegas Library Gallery from Aug. 13 to Oct. 25.
“Invented Landscape,” which explores the exterior surfaces and interior infrastructure of the cities Kang has lived in, is also on display online. 
“The goal of this work is to expose the unseen and hidden spaces by capturing the raw and unfinished state of our present environment,” Kang said. “I seek to challenge the conventional understanding of space that focuses on the physical state, history, and transformation.”
Kang teaches drawing, printmaking and design courses at Idaho State. Her work has been exhibited in South Korea, Qatar and throughout the U.S.
