ISU receives $10,000 from Mexican Consulate for scholarship funding

POCATELLO – Idaho State University has received $10,000 in student scholarship funding from the Mexican Consulate for students of Mexican origin.
The deadline for applying for these scholarships is Aug. 5.
Only 35 schools received this funding nationwide and only 13 schools received the maximum funding of $10,000.
ISU has collaborated with the Mexican Consulate-Boise to offer students of Mexican origin funding for education needs at ISU. The IME-Becas Scholarship requires that a student or student’s parent be of Mexican origin with preference to students who are Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) or “dreamer” students. Students must be undergraduates. A minimum GPA of 2.0 required.
This scholarship is available for the Fall 2019 Semester. Essay and additional documentation is required. Funding will be available and funds disbursed on September 25, 2019.
