Global Studies Professor Named Scholar-In-Residence at the Center of Regional Studies and Regional Councilor for the Association of American Geographers

Yolonda Youngs, associate professor in the Department of Global Studies and Languages, has been awarded a Scholar-In-Residence at the Center of Regional Studies (at the University of New Mexico) for the fall semester. This will help improve her research context for her next book.
She was also elected to serve as the Regional Councilor (Pacific division) on the Executive Committee for the Association of American Geographers (AAG). AAG is the prime, national and international professional association for academic geographers in North America.
