Faculty and Staff Free Week at Campus Recreation and Wellness Center

Campus Recreation

Campus Recreation offers a wide variety of amenities, including a two-lane indoor track, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, an indoor climbing wall, gym and fitness areas, an indoor pool, massage and personal training services, equipment checkout and more.

To purchase a membership after the free week, visit the Campus Recreation office at the Student Recreation Center, Room 360. Payment options include cash, check, Visa or Mastercard, or payroll deduction.

The Reed gym pool is always free to faculty staff with a valid Bengal ID card.

*Costs are prorated monthly

*Spouses may purchase a secondary membership for a 25% discount.

*Dependents (16-19) may purchase a secondary membership for a 25% discount. (full-time faculty and staff only))

Why are faculty, staff, alumni, and retirees charged to use the Student Recreation Center?

Student fees are the primary funding source for both the construction and ongoing operations of the Student Recreation Center. The philosophy behind the fee is that all who use the facilities should help pay for its operations. Membership prices for employees, alumni and retirees are comparable to the amount students pay through their student fees.

Wellness Center

The Wellness Center, a clinic in the Kasiska Division of Health Sciences, is also offering their GET-FIT classes for free April 8-12.  The Wellness Center provides a variety of fitness classes including Zumba, boot camp, yoga and more. Students, faculty and staff, spouses with a valid Bengal ID card, and alumni with a current Alumni Association Membership card are eligible to participate in the Wellness Center’s programs.  

ISU faculty and staff can purchase a Get-Fit-Passport for $50 a semester.

Meridian

Meridian staff and faculty can pay a small fee to access the fitness gym in Renaissance High School. Cost for access is $25.60 per semester (fall/spring), and is free during the summer. Hours during the academic year are 3-6:30 p.m, Monday - Friday (Wednesdays 2:30-6:30 p.m.). Students can use this facility for free as part of their student fees support this space. Twin Falls

Twin Falls staff and faculty can purchase memberships and take advantage of the CSI Recreation Center for $17 per month. Students can purchase a membership at this same facility for $45 per semester.  Please contact John Twiss (JohnTwiss@csi.edu), CSI Director or Recreation for more information.

Idaho Falls

In Idaho Falls, Campus Recreation maintains four pieces of exercise equipment in the Study/Exercise Lounge (Room 118) of the Bennion Student Union. Equipment is available for students, staff, and faculty at no cost on a first-come, first served basis. For more information, call the Bennion Information Desk at ext. 7880.
