Economics Professor Publishes Study on Impacts of Hate Crimes on Minority Owned Businesses.

Dr. Karl Geisler, Assistant Professor of Economics, and his coauthors published their study "Hate Crimes and Minority Owned Businesses" in The Review of Black Political Economy (RBPE). The study finds hate crimes negatively impact the local number of minority owned businesses. The paper is the lead article in the current issue of RBPE, a publication of the National Economics Association that describes itself as "the leading outlet for research that examines issues related the to status of African-Americans."
