Art Historian Publishes Two New Books

Jonathan Fardy, Assistant Professor of Art History, has two new forthcoming books: Laruelle and Art: The Aesthetics of Non-Philosophy will be published by Bloomsbury Academic this November; and Althusser and Art will be published by Zero Books in March of 2020. Laruelle and Art examines the “non-philosophy” of François Laruelle in light of key examples from modern and contemporary art. Althusser and Art reinterprets Louis Althusser’s political theory in light of the philosopher’s scattered writings on art and aesthetics. More information about each book can be found here:
