Jennifer Steele joins ISU as assistant vice president for budget, planning and analysis.

Jennifer SteeleJennifer Steele has joined Idaho State University as assistant vice president for budget, planning and analysis. 

Prior to coming to Idaho State, Steele was the associate vice president for planning and institutional effectiveness at Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon, where she had also served as chief budget officer. In that capacity, she was responsible for an operating budget of more than $200 million across five campus locations. 

Steele was chosen following a competitive nationwide recruitment effort. 

 “I am impressed by Jen’s experience and proven leadership, as well as by her demonstrated commitment to operational sustainability in service to students. She is a systems thinker and brings a commitment to innovation to this position during this critical time of transformational change at ISU,” said Vice President for Finance and Business Affairs, Dr. Glen Nelson. “I am confident that Jen’s record in mentoring and leading teams, and working collaboratively institution-wide for the development and administration of budgets will serve our community well.” 

She earned her Executive MBA from the University of Oregon, her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University, and she is a certified Project Management Professional. Jen also previously served as a Mission Fulfillment Fellow with the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
