ISU Majors and Minors Fair set Sept. 25 at Pond Student Union Ballroom
September 16, 2019
POCATELLO – The annual Idaho State University Majors and Minors Fair will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 25, in the Pond Student Union Ballroom on the Pocatello campus from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Majors and Minors Fair provides ISU students and community members the opportunity to discover, explore and declare majors and minors offered at ISU.
This is a fantastic opportunity to meet with representatives from across the campus and all colleges to learn about their programs, majors and minors all in one convenient place.
National Complete College America and Momentum Pathways data show that students who early on engage with a specific major, and explore a minor that may complement and enhance their major, are much more likely to graduate in time and thus save money.
Students from across campus are invited to come to the majors fair to connect with the departments of their choice and to explore the opportunities available to them here at ISU.
Community members contemplating a return to school or a first-time enrollment in college are also invited.
About 60 departments will be present to showcase their programs, field questions, collect major declaration information and help students decide what pathway may be a suitable option for them.
For those who have already decided on a major, the fair offers the opportunity to learn more about it from faculty as well what minor may enhance their major and round it out.
ISU students actively engaged in major and minor exploration at the fair have a chance to enter a drawing for a $ 500 cash door prize sponsored by the ISU Credit Union.
