Idaho State hires Shane Hunt as Dean of the College of Business

Idaho State University has hired Shane Hunt as the dean of the College of Business following a national search that began in spring 2019.
Idaho State University has hired Shane Hunt as the dean of the College of Business following a national search that began in spring 2019.
Hunt has more than 12 years of experience in higher education, including serving as the dean of the College of Business at Arkansas State University. Hunt is currently the R.M. "Bob" Wood Endowed Professor in Sales Leadership and a Professor of Marketing at Arkansas State University.
“Dr. Hunt’s experience and knowledge will serve Idaho State well,” Laura Woodworth-Ney, executive vice president and provost said. “He will bring to this position an enthusiastic, student-centered model of excellence. We are very excited to welcome him to the Bengal family.”
Hunt holds a Ph.D. in marketing from Oklahoma State University and an MBA and a BBA from the University of Oklahoma. He has won numerous teaching awards, and his research has appeared in The Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management, The Journal of Business Logistics, and he is the author of two leading “Principles of Marketing” textbooks.
“I am so thankful and proud to be joining the incredible faculty and staff in the Idaho State University College of Business and I am so excited for the great things we will do together for our students, campus and community,” Hunt said.
Hunt will assume the role at Idaho State in 2020.
