Dr. Brenda Jacobsen named 2019 Teacher Educator of the Year by Career Technical Educators of Idaho

During the Annual Idaho Career Technical Education conference Dr. Brenda Jacobsen was honored as the 2019 Teacher Educator of the Year by Career and Technical Educators of Idaho. This award recognizes teacher educators who have demonstrated innovation in teacher education, leadership in improving CTE, and commitment to preparing teachers to deliver high quality CTE programs.
Dr. Jacobsen accepted during the awards session hosted at the Boise Depot and celebrating 100 years of Idaho Career and Technical Education. Clay Long, Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Nampa wrote, “Dr. Jacobsen provides valuable time and effort in the advancement of Career and Technical Education in the state of Idaho, regionally and nationally. Her desire to build relationships has allowed her students to learn, grow and become the leaders of today and tomorrow.” Dr. Jacobsen says of the honor, “when you know WHY you do what you do everything else naturally falls into place.” Dr. Brenda Jacobsen is an Associate Professor in the College of Education, Organizational Learning and Performance.
