College of Education faculty member publishes paper in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences

Higher education faculty member Dr. Jennifer Blaney, recently published a co-authored paper in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences that tracks STEM doctoral students over five years and breaks new ground by revealing that the presence of postdocs is the only significant predictor of graduate student skill development. These findings underscore the critical--and typically unrecognized--role postdocs play in training new scientists.
