Amazon Rainforest Fires-What are the impacts and what can we do about it?

The Center for Advanced Energy Studies (CAES) will be hosting a public forum regarding the recent fires in the Amazon rainforest on Sept. 20 from 3-4:30 PM in the CAES Auditorium. This free event is open to the public and is intended to be an open discussion led by experts from Idaho National Laboratory and the research universities of Idaho and Wyoming: Boise State University, Idaho State University, University of Idaho, and University of Wyoming. Audience participation will be a key part of the discussion, which will focus on the potential long-term impacts of the fires and what can be done to mitigate those impacts.
