Hello Faculty!
As many of you know, I am the Faculty Athletics Representative for ISU. This is a position mandated on every college campus by the NCAA. My primary roles involve working closely with our student-athletes and athletic staff to ensure academic emphasis and integrity, NCAA, Big Sky Conference and institutional compliance, and overall student athlete well-being.
As part of my ongoing commitment in this role, I have created the “
BENGAL BRIEF” to assist faculty and staff on our campus with a basic understanding of our student-athlete composition and NCAA rules regarding academic progress. Included also is contact information on the various student services professionals who work with our student-athletes on a daily basis. Hopefully, this resource will help you as you work to advise our student-athletes on their educational pathways.
