ISU physics presents “Electriphying Physics” April 28

POCATELLO — The Idaho State University Department of Physics and the Society of Physics Students at ISU will present their “Electriphying Physics” demonstration on Saturday, April 28, 4-5:30 p.m. in Room 140 of the Physical Sciences Building.
This event is free and open to the public.
It will include a variety of electrophysics demonstrations, such as simple electrostatic hair raising to more complex displays such as floating magnets, spark-spitting rail guns, electromagnetic ring shooters, floating magnets, the electrocution of a board and much more.
Those interested can show up an hour early at 3 p.m. for stomp rockets, which are toy rockets powered by compressed air, a vortex cannon shooting gallery, a candy cannon shoot, Annie Oakley’s physics challenge and more hands-on activities.
This and other science demo shows are presented at local K-12 schools upon invitation.
