POCATELLO – Curt Remington, an Idaho State University Doctor of Pharmacy class of 2020 candidate from Rexburg, is the first recipient of the Grifols Biomat Scholarship that has been awarded at Idaho State University.

The scholarship, in conjunction with Idaho State University and Idaho State University Foundation, is awarded to one student per semester. Award winners are determined by ISU based on several considerations including an essay on the history, current uses of, or innovations pertaining to plasma derived medications.

“I am immensely honored to be the recipient of this scholarship and have been blessed to have the extra support from Grifols. Thank you,” said Remington, who received a $1,000 scholarship.

"We are grateful for the incredible commitment that Grifols Biomat has pledged to our health science focused students. Their annual scholarship contribution will be a tremendous asset to not only the student who is selected to receive it each year, but also to the Kasiska Division of Health Sciences as a whole,” said Rex W. Force, vice president for health sciences at Idaho State University.
