POCATELLO – The Idaho State University Alumni Association will host Alumni Night at the Idaho Museum of Natural History on July 31 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. that features free admission to the museum and a picnic.

The theme for this family-friendly event is “Be the Dinosaur: Life in the Cretaceous. See Do. Learn.” The event offers participants an opportunity to connect with other alumni and learn all the things the museum has to offer.

Visitors will have the opportunity to see the new exhibit in the museum. This features an interactive way of seeing what it was like to be a dinosaur during the Cretaceous Period. Visitors will also be able to walk through the museum and see the items on display.

The event will also have a picnic outside of the museum.

“This is a great chance for you to come and meet the alumni and it is a fantastic opportunity to come and see the museum and learn all that it has to offer,” said Jordan Reed, office specialist with the ISU Office of Alumni Relations.

The normal admission price to the museum is $7 for adults, $3 for children and $2 for ISU students. The museum is also open Tuesday through Sunday with varying hours.

The Idaho Museum of Natural History is home to various public exhibits in anthropology, earth and life sciences. Their goal is to discover, record and share the unique history and culture of Idaho according to the museum’s website, imnh.isu.edu.
