ISU Occupational Therapy Assistant Program to host open house Feb. 9
February 6, 2017
POCATELLO — To celebrate the first cohort class of Idaho State University College of Technology’s occupational therapy assistant program, and to honor 100 years of occupational therapy as a profession, ISU will host an open house on Feb. 9 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the program’s laboratory in Owen-Redfield Hall on the ISU campus.
ISU’s occupational therapy assistant program is currently the only of its kind in the state. The two-year program will train students for careers in a rapidly growing health care field. The Idaho Department of Labor estimates a 32 percent statewide job growth in the next 10 years in the occupational therapy assistant field. U.S. News and World Report recently named occupational therapy assistant its top job in the health care support field.
At the event, students, faculty and occupational therapists from across the state will be on-hand to answer questions about the program. For more information, or to attend, contact Steve Keller at (208) 282- 3216.
