February 23, 2017
POCATELLO – Thanks to generous contributions by alumni, friends and regional businesses, the Idaho State University College of Business raised $56,327 during its annual fund raising campaign, led in conjunction with the ISU Foundation.
Funds raised will be spent on classroom upgrades and renovations in the Business Administration Building.
This year’s contribution amount increased by both gifts given and by dollar amount. In the November 2015 – February 2016 campaign, efforts raised $36,667 from 201 gifts. This year’s contributions were a result of 235 total gifts and surpassed the College’s goal of raising $50,000 in this year’s campaign.
“In addition to an increase in gifts received, we also had very generous matching contributions made by members of the College’s Leadership Board and alumni,” said Mark Arstein, senior director of development. “Every $100 contribution was matched up to $25,000.”
“We are very thankful for the support we continually receive from our outstanding alumni, business partners and friends,” said Tom Ottaway, College of Business dean. “It is due to their continued support that the College of Business has been able to provide an innovative setting for our students to gain the quality education that our faculty and curriculum deliver. With these funds we have been able to upgrade technology, classroom layouts and equipment to fit and grow our real-world-driven courses and allow our students to be well prepared for the job market ahead.”
