ISU CW HOG to host Pocatello Ski Swap Nov. 3-4, new Warren Miller film “Line of Descent” Nov. 4
October 19, 2017
POCATELLO – Idaho State University’s Cooperative Wilderness Handicapped Outdoor Group (CW HOG) in association with Pocatello Ski Association, Pebble Creek Junior Race Team and Pebble Creek Ski Patrol will host the annual Pocatello Ski Swap from Nov. 3 from 6 to 10 p.m. and Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Pond Student Union Ballroom.
There will also be a showing of Warren Miller’s ski film “Line of Descent” in ISU’s Frazier Hall auditorium at 7 p.m. Nov. 4. A ski film pre-party with a cash bar, beer and wine will be held in the lobby at 6 p.m. As a bonus, Warren Miller athlete and Pocatello native Ty Peterson will be present to sign movie posters and share his experiences with Warren Miller Entertainment.
The Ski Swap is a great opportunity to get rid of old gear and replace it with new gear from the swap while supporting some of Pocatello’s greatest ski organizations.
The curbside check-in for those interested in donating equipment will be Nov.2 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Nov. 3 from 11 to 4:30 p.m. at the Cesar Chavez entrance of the Bengal Theater. Gear that does not sell at the Ski Swap may be picked up on Nov. 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Entry to the Pocatello Ski Swap is $2. An early-bird special will be held Nov. 3 from 5 to 6 p.m. with a $10 entry fee.
Tickets for the film are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Tickets can be picked up from Barrie’s Ski and Sports, the CW HOG office, Element Outfitters or the Ski Swap. All proceeds will be used to support the CW HOG.
