Idaho State University Japan Night scheduled Oct. 28

POCATELLO – Idaho State University’s Japan Club will host its annual Japan Night on Oct. 28 in the Pond Student Union Ballroom.
Japan night will celebrate and recognize Japanese culture through traditional cuisine and performances. This event will feature traditional Japanese foods, booths and performances, including dancing, martial arts, music and drumming. This event is open to ISU students, faculty and the community.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the event will begin at 6 p.m.
Tickets purchased in advance are $7 for students, $8 for faculty and $9 for the public. These can be purchased at the Pond Student Union second floor lobby from noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 23 – Oct. 27. Tickets are $10 if purchased at the door.

Other upcoming Japan Club events include:
- Thursday, Oct. 26, 6 - 8 p.m. – Japanese movie night, part two (part one was held in September). Everyone is invited to watch the historical drama, “Japanese Americans.” This event is free and is in the Pond Student Union Bengal Café.
- Thursday, Nov. 2, 6 - 7:30 p.m. – Presentation about Japanese Shinto religion and manners by Yuko Ito. This event is free and open to the public. The presentation is in the Clearwater Room of the Pond Student Union.
- Thursday, Nov. 30, 6 - 8 p.m. – Japanese movie night, part three. Everyone is invited to watch the historical drama, “Japanese Americans.” This event is free and is in the Pond Student Union Bengal Café.
