April 4, 2016
POCATELLO – Idaho State University’s Gender Resource Center will sponsor Denim Days in the USA on April 20 at 6 p.m. in Frazier Hall featuring a concert by the Carolina Reapers.
The Carolina Reapers are an indie, vintage rock and blues three-piece band. Band member Devin Bodkin plays bass and sings. His vocal talents won him a ticket to Hollywood after he won over the judges on American Idol Season Five. Morgan Celner, the bands lead guitarist from Chicago, was voted best new young blues guitarist in the United States. The band’s drummer Matt Gooch is from California and is an accomplished jazz percussionist.
The band has done a nationwide tour and is taking time out of its schedule to support Denim Days in the USA at ISU. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and the band is performing to show support.
This event is free and open to students, facility, staff and the community. There are T-shirt giveaways for the event. Participants are encouraged to wear jeans.
