May 2, 2016

POCATELLO – The Idaho State-Civic Symphony has announced its 2016-17 concert schedule and season tickets are currently on sale for current season ticket holders. Season tickets for the general public will go on sale starting June 1.

This season’s schedule will include music from Mozart, Bernstein, Mendelssohn and others. The season will include a mix of Friday and Saturday night concerts in the classical series. The much anticipated Joy to the World concert will be offered on both a Friday and Saturday night, Dec. 9 and 10. The annual Valentine’s Concert will feature Chicago dance group Hubbard Street 2 set to the music of Mozart, Adams and Tchaikovsky. This season will also feature two Youth Orchestra concerts.

“Our conductor, Grant Harville, has created an exceptional collection of symphonies for the season,” said Kate Fornarotto, Symphony president. “The songs are well known, and will appeal to a variety of audiences. This Symphony season is one you don’t want to miss.”

Individuals concert tickets will go on sale August 1. The symphony’s season opener will be held on Sept. 23

Season tickets are available at the ISU Box Office in the Stephens Performing Arts Center (1002 Sam Nixon Drive), at Vickers’ Western Stores (1460 Yellowstone), or they may be ordered online at www.isu.edu/tickets.
