Annual Pocatello Ski Swap set Oct. 28-29; annual ski movie set Oct. 29

POCATELLO – The annual Pocatello Ski Swap will be held Oct. 28-29 at Idaho State University in the Pond Student Union Ballroom and the annual Warren Miller ski movie will be show at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29 in Frazier Hall.
The Swap is the primary fundraising event for the Cooperative Wilderness Handicapped Outdoor Group (CW HOG), Pocatello Ski Association, Pebble Creek Junior Race Team and the Pebble Creek Ski Patrol.
At the event, skiers and snowboarders can find a large selection of skiing and snowboarding equipment from both private parties and area businesses.
The regular swap begins Friday, Oct. 28, and is from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., with a $2 entry fee. On Friday there is an “early bird special” from 5 to 6 p.m. that has an admission price of $10. The regular swap continues Saturday, Oct. 29, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and has a $2 entry fee.
If you are interested in selling equipment, check-in is Thursday, Oct. 27, from 3 to 8 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 28, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Participants must enter through the Cesar Chavez street entrance to the Bengal Theater.
CW HOG will also present the annual Warren Miller ski movie “Here, There, and Everywhere” Saturday, Oct. 29, at 7:30 p.m. in Frazier Hall. A pre-party will be held in the lobby at 6:30 p.m. with beer, wine and appetizers.
Ticket prices for the movie are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. To pick up tickets visit the CW HOG office, Barrie’s Ski and Sports, Element Outfitters, or the Pocatello Ski Swap.
