More than 60 students to participate in ISU Graduate Research Days March 14, 16
March 1, 2015
More than 60 graduate students from Idaho State University will share their research endeavors at the inaugural ISU Graduate School Research Days events on March 14 and 16 in the Rendezvous Complex A, B and C Suites.
On Friday, March 14, presenters will showcase their research in 10-minute oral presentations from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. On Monday, March 16, graduate students will display their research at a poster symposium from 3 to 6 p.m.
“The Graduate Student Research Days provides graduate students a remarkable opportunity to share their innovative research and studies which they conducted throughout the year,” says Tracy Collum, associate dean of the Graduate School.
The presentations and posters span the graduate programs from five colleges at ISU.
“As student research is highly regarded in a university, it also gives students great experience in presenting their research prior to attending national conferences or defending a thesis or dissertation to a faculty committee,” Collum said. “Students will receive constructive criticism and feedback, which will ultimately help them as they prepare to present their research in the future.”
In addition, the presenters will be judged in various categories, with the top scores receiving prizes awarded at a ceremony held later in their honor.
