Idaho State University HALO to present ‘Bienvenido to Latin America’ celebration March 14 at PSUB

The Idaho State University Hispanic Awareness Leadership Organization (HALO) will present the ‘Bienvenidos (welcome) to Latin America” celebration at 6 p.m. March 14 in the Pond Student Union Ballroom.
The event will feature Hispanic food, entertainment, a dance and more.
Four main countries being represented are Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador and Brazil. The event will include information, activities and costumes from the cultures of these countries.
The dinner menu includes sopes, pupusas, churros, flan, chips and salsa, rice and beans, sweet water and more. Vegetarian dishes will be available.
Entertainment will include Aztec dancers, a costume show, Brazilian folkdance, Mexican folkloric dancers and ballroom dancing. There will also be music and dancing for attendees following the entertainment events.
A dance floor will be setup on the main floor of the Ballroom so patrons will be in close proximity to performers.
Ticket prices are $5 for ISU students, $7 for ISU faculty and staff, and $8 for the public. Tickets are on sale through March 13 on weekdays at the Pond Student Union and the Rendezvous Complex, and will be available at the door on March 14.
