ISU Pharmacy’s Run for the Health of It set for Sept. 19 in Boise

Lace up your shoes and run or walk through Ann Morrison Park in the 2015 Run for the Health of It 5k sponsored by Idaho State University-Meridian’s Professional Pharmacy Student Alliance.

The race begins at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 19. Early registration is $25. After Sept. 10, the cost is $30 through race day. Click here to sign up.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will support student-driven outreach projects held throughout the year, including free community health screenings, immunizations and preventive disease education.

“As student pharmacists, we appreciate the opportunity to provide the community with vaccinations, diabetes and cholesterol screenings, medication counseling, and to educate school children and teens about prescription abuse and poisons,” said Hung Dang, a student pharmacist and PPSA fundraising chair.

Mai Tai restaurant in downtown Boise is a major sponsor of the event.
