Idaho State University Distinguished Faculty nominations sought

Nominations are being sought for three Idaho State University faculty members to be recognized as Distinguished Faculty.

They will be honored during a reception in April and recognized during the 2016 Commencement exercises.
Nominations for the Distinguished Teacher and Distinguished Service are due Jan. 22. The Distinguished Researcher call for nominations will be announced by the Office for Research and Economic Development. Nominations are being sought from ISU’s faculty, staff, students, alumni and the public.

Distinguished Teacher Award – A faculty member is selected from the ISU faculty who exemplifies excellence in teaching and has made significant contributions in teaching. Nominees should be any member of the University faculty currently in his or her third or subsequent year of full-time service at ISU and will continue as a faculty member for 2016-2017.

Distinguished Service Award – A faculty member is selected from the ISU faculty who has made significant contributions in service to the University and society. Please consider service attributes only. Elements such as research and teaching are not to be considered for this award. Nominees should be any member of the University faculty currently in his or her third or subsequent year of full-time service at ISU and will continue as a faculty member for 2016-2017.

Distinguished Researcher Award – Each year, an Idaho State University faculty member is selected for the ISU Distinguished Researcher Award for faculty members who have made significant contributions in research to the University and society. Full-time ISU faculty are invited to nominate a member of the faculty who exemplifies excellence in research. Please consider research attributes only. Elements such as service and teaching are not to be considered for this award.

Nominees should meet the following eligibility standards:

Any member of the university faculty currently in his or her third or subsequent year of full-time service at Idaho State University, and
She or he must be continuing as a member of the University faculty for 2016 – 2017
