Annual Pocatello Ski Swap set Oct. 23-25 at ISU Pond Student Union; ski movie ‘Chasing Shadows’ set Oct. 24

POCATELLO – Idaho State University will host the Pocatello Ski Swap Oct. 23-25 and show the Cooperative Wilderness Handicapped Outdoor Group (CW HOG) annual Warren Miller ski movie at 3, 7 and 9:30 p.m. Oct. 24 in the Pond Student Union.
The swap is the primary fundraising event for the Pocatello Ski and Snowboard Association. It helps to fund four youth trips, the Pebble Creek Youth Ski Team and disabled skiers’ events with the CW HOG program at ISU. All of the organizations represented are not-for-profit and supported by volunteers.
At the event, skiers and snowboarders can find a large selection of skiing and snowboarding equipment from both private parties and area businesses.
The event begins Friday, Oct. 23 at 6 p.m., with an early access admission price of $10. The regular swap runs 7 to 10 p.m., and continues Saturday, Oct. 24, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Regular admission is $2.
Private equipment check-in is Thursday, Oct. 22, 4-8 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 23, 11 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. All private equipment that isn’t sold can be picked up from 3-5 p.m. on Oct. 25.
Those interested in selling equipment can take advantage of curbside check-in Thursday, Oct. 22, from 5-8 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 23, from noon-5 p.m. Those checking in equipment must enter the Pond Student Union through the Caesar Chavez Street entrance.
Along with the swap, CW HOG’s annual ski movie this year is “Chasing Shadows” that will show Oct. 24 at 3, 7 and 9:30 p.m. in the Bengal Theatre. Ticket prices for the ski movie are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
