Martial arts demo, fundraiser for ISU Church Symposium set Nov. 8 in Reed Gym

Idaho State University will host a martial arts demonstration at ISU’s Reed Gymnasium on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 10 a.m. to raise funds for the Frank Church Symposium.
The martial arts demonstration will be from 10 a.m. to noon. The demonstration will consist of judo, kendo, tai chi, fencing and karate groups. Each demonstration will be between 15 to 30 minutes long. Tickets are $5 for non-students and $3 for students and faculty.
The Frank Church Symposium is held every year by ISU’s International Affairs Council to honor Idaho Senator Frank Church and his contributions to international relations. It will be held in February.
The topic for next year’s symposium will be cross-cultural expression. This is what inspired the martial arts theme for the fundraiser.
