Idaho State University Diversity Resource Center to offer series of programs for Diversity Week Nov. 10-14

The Idaho State University Diversity Resource Center will offer a series of Diversity Week 2014 presentations from Nov. 10 to Nov. 14 on the ISU Pocatello campus.

Programs planned are:

• Nov. 10 – “Defining Diversity” student forum, 10 a.m., North Fork Room, Pond Student Union;

• Nov. 10 – “Defining Diversity” keynote speaker Dr. Jacqueline Thompson, 7 p.m., North Fork Room, Pond Student Union;

• Nov. 11 – “Celebrating Diversity in the United States Military” (Veterans Day), 7 p.m. Diversity Resource Center, Rendezvous Complex, Room 129;

• Nov. 12 – “Psychology and Sociology of Diversity” presentation by Shannon Lynch, chair of the ISU Department of Psychology, and Gesine Hearn, chair of the Department of Sociology, 10 a.m., Wood River Room, Pond Student Union;

• Nov. 13 – “Religion and Diversity,” a panel of ministers and clergy discussing “What role does religion play in creating a more accepting and unified community and society,” 7 p.m., Wood River Room, Pond Student Union; and

• Nov. 14, “Keep It Real” diversity board game, facilitated by game creator Leslie Robinson, 1 p.m., Pond Student Union Bengal Cafe, come play a game of inclusion, a game of connection.
