Black Rock & Sage now open for submissions for 2014 issue
October 17, 2014
Idaho State University’s “Black Rock & Sage” is now open for submissions for its 2014 issue.
“Black Rock & Sage” is a creative journal published annually through the English department at ISU.
Students at ISU can send in their submissions for fiction, photography, maps, music, nonfiction, poetry, paintings and drawings.
“Black Rock & Sage is the campus’s only student arts journal,” said Natalie Homer, editor-in-chief. “For student writers, poets, artists and musicians, it’s the main opportunity they have to getting their work ‘out there.’ We limit our submissions to students only, and it allows for a greater chance that they will get published. In turn, it increases the chances of people seeing, reading or hearing their work.”
The deadline for submissions is Feb. 14. For more information about “Black Rock & Sage” visit their website at isu.edu/blackrock.
