‘Nature Photography of Portneuf Valley in Spring’ exhibit at Art Walk April 5
April 3, 2013
The exhibit "Nature Photography of The Portneuf Valley in Spring" sponsored by the Idaho Museum of Natural History will be on display in the Cordillera Gallery at Walrus and Carpenter Books from 5 to 8 p.m. April 5.
The display is part of First Friday Art Walk festivities in Old Town Pocatello.
Four life sciences curators from the Idaho Museum of Natural History will exhibit some of their favorite images of local spring landscapes, flora and fauna. Ranging from the tiniest wildflowers to the largest carnivores, these photos highlight the beauty and diversity of our local environment. The avid nature photographers are Dick Anderson, Ernest Keeley, Chuck Peterson and Rick Williams.
Keeley, Peterson and Williams are all faculty members in the Department of Biology Sciences. Anderson is a volunteer in the Ray J. Davis at the IMNH. Keeley is affiliate curator of ichthyology (fish), and Peterson is affiliate curator of herpetology (amphibians and reptiles) at IMNH. Williams is curator of botany at the Ray J. Davis Herbarium and head of the Division of Life Sciences at the IMNH.
