Idaho State University Choral Invitational Festival set Oct. 12-13 features 470 singers from Idaho high schools

The 27th annual Idaho State University Choral Invitational, featuring 470 singers from 13 Idaho high schools, will be held Oct. 12-13 in the Stephens Performing Arts Center Jensen Grand Concert Hall.
The festival concert open to the public at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, will feature the ISU Chamber, Concert and Women's Choirs and the guest singers.
Craig Jessop, dean of the Cain College of the Arts at Utah State University and a former conductor of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, will serve as the festival's guest conductor.
ISU choral and vocal faculty members working the high school singers include Scott Anderson, director of ISU choral activities; Geoffrey Friedley, adjunct faculty of voice; Kathleen Lane, professor of voice; and Diana Livingston Friedley, associate professor of voice.
Participating high schools include Bonneville, Caldwell, Century, Highland, Hillcrest, Idaho Falls, Madison, Middleton, Minico, Preston, Skyline and Snake River.
