The heartwarming Broadway classic "Annie" is opening Friday, June 17,  at 7:30 p.m. in the Idaho State University Beverly B. Bistline Theatre of the Stephens Performing Arts Center, with encore performances June 18, 20 and 23-25, all at 7:30 p.m.

This charming musical will have you singing along with memorable songs like, "Tomorrow" and "Hard-Knock Life."

An orphan, Annie, and her dog Sandy are placed in the lap of luxury for a week as a publicity stunt for wealthy businessman Oliver Warbucks.

However, Annie's stay turns out to be much more than anyone had bargained for as she works her way into everyone's hearts and learns a few things for herself.

With over 80 auditioning for roles, "Annie" will be a gathering of some of Southeast Idaho's most talented. Original costumes by Debbie Bray, scene design by Jason Woodland, light design by Brett Harwood, vocal coaching by Ann Bailey, musical direction by Michael Helman, and stage direction by Lisa Woodland, this musical is a highlight of what true community musicals are all about. All the talented directors, actors, designers, and numerous other volunteers, have come together to put on a spectacular fun-filled musical.

Tickets are on sale now at the Stephens Performing Arts Center Box Office, (208) 282-3595 or online at www.isu.edu/tickets. Admission is $15 for adults, $9 for children, and $7 for ISU students. Group rates are given to groups of 10 or more, and ISU students are given a discount if they show their Bengal ID.
