116th National Guard Unit homecoming set at Idaho State University Oct. 8

The Cities of Pocatello and Chubbuck, Idaho State University, The Greater Pocatello Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee and Idaho ARMY National Guard invites you to help celebrate the homecoming of the 116th National Guard Unit on Oct. 8 at Idaho State University.
These soldiers have recently returned after honorably serving our country in Iraq.
The returning soldiers and their families are invited to attend events at ISU facilities at Reed Gymnasium and the Pond Student Union Games Center will be open to members of the National Guard and their families from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Then, from 1 p.m. to 3:15 p.m., a tailgate party will be held at Holt Arena. The tailgate party will include live music from The Kyd J Band, free food will also be provided. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with the businesses and Veterans Service Organizations that have supported them over the last year during their challenging deployment period.
Following the tailgate party all members of the National Guard and their families will be invited to attend the ISU Bengals versus Montana Grizzlies football game. The soldiers will receive well-deserved recognition on the field during the pregame show and there will be a flag ceremony during which national and state flags flown over Iraq by the 116th will be presented to ISU.
