Idaho State University student among winners in archaeology, historic month photo contest

Idaho State University student Jessica Hawkes is one of the winners of the Idaho Archaeology and Historic Preservation Month Student Digital Photography Contest and Show. Hawkes was chosen as the third-place winner.
The submissions were judges by a seven-member panel representing the professional fields of history, architecture, art, curation, photography, and archaeology.
The winning photograph will be displayed as part of the “Idaho’s Historic Gems – Past and Present Buildings Throughout Our State,” exhibit at the Idaho Historical Museum in Boise. The exhibit opens on Thursday, May 6. An opening reception and awards presentation will occur as part of the exhibit debut beginning at 6:30 p.m. Admission to the event is free and open to the public.
